| The mission of the Flower Growers of Puget Sound is to promote and support excellence and professionalism among its members and the horticultural industry, and to work diligently to increase the fellowship and effectiveness, the image and impact, of its members and the horticultural industry in the Pacific Northwest. |
| BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP |
| Educational Meetings: FGPS meets quarterly for great meals, great company, and great topics. Meetings are usually held at a member firm’s operation, offering the opportunity to learn from industry peers. |
| Networking: Members get together at quarterly meetings to share ideas and concerns, to offer support, and to learn from each other. |
| Representation: FGPS addresses issues affecting its members and their businesses. This may involve working with other industry associations on common issues or specifically representing its members in the most effective manner. |
| Buyers Guide: FGPS publishes an annual Buyers Guide where members can promote their products under a variety of appropriate headings at no charge and also have the opportunity to place additional advertising to provide potential customers with additional information. This Buyers Guide is sent out to local retailers and landscapers each January and posted on this website for even broader distribution. |
| Quarterly Newsletter: Members receive a quarterly newsletter that helps them stay abreast of current events, issues, and Board of Directors’ activities. |
| Membership Directory: FGPS issues an annual directory listing members’ names and contact information in a quick and easy-to-use resource. It also contains helpful information such as your local government representatives and their contact information. This Directory is also available to members (password protected) via this website. |
| Website: FGPS now has its own informational and user-friendly website promoting its members and their products. It contains areas where members can post help-wanted or other classified ads. The annual Meeting Schedule, Quarterly Newsletter and Annual Membership Directory are also posted here (password protected) for quick access. |
